Mark, thanks for the article. One question, how about coverage for the host group that is actually putting the event on? Is this a common type of policy purchased by a group or does the course policy extend to the group.

Thanks for your question, Brian. Organizations with general liability insurance may be covered against certain "errors and omissions". It's advisable to discuss specific events with your insurance agent or carrier to better understand related coverage and exposures. Independent policies are available that are designed for specific functions, however, as needed to effectively manage risk.
